Starting September 1st we will be meeting at Gander Mountain on Thursday nights for fly tying

Fly of the Year	2011 Gem City Fly Tiers Fellowship Award
Congratulation to Mike Statkun (NuMike) for receiving the 2011 Lord Of The Fly award for promoting the Waxy Joe Fly. the "Waxy Joe" has a bead head and Fin Raccoon. Great for Steel Head and Big Trout.	Congratulations to Capt. Jim Sharpe. Jim was awarded the 2011 Gem City Fly Tiers Fellowship Award, for his dedication to the club and to the sport of Fly Fishing. Jim's active role in the fruit basket program for land owners as well as running many out door events, including the booth at the Out Doors-man show in the Bay Front Convention Center and the Linesville Fish Hatchery open house, are just a few examples of his tireless efforts to promote the sport of Fly Fishing.

2011 Fruit Baskets
Thanks to all the volunteers, couldn't have done it without you!!

 

Jim Sharpe will be selling window decals for you car to show everyone you are a proud member of GCOFT. Decals are $4.00 and can be purchased from Jim at any monthly meeting. We also have new hats with our new fly logo, and they are $14.00

If you have not been to the clubhouse recently, think about coming out when you can. There are always plenty of helpful people who can assist you with any fly-fishing or fly-tying questions. Also consider presenting a demonstration for the members. Basic through advanced demonstrations are welcomed.
